A permanent warning line is a safety device commonly used across various industries to mark hazardous zones and warn individuals of potential risks. It typically features a visible barrier that defines a boundary, signaling that people must exercise caution or adhere to specific safety protocols once they cross it.

A warning line converted into a guardrail

Clearly, your needs will evolve over time. That’s why we’ve created a warning line system that can easily be transformed into a roof guardrail using 100% shared components. By replacing steel cables with our standard aluminum tubes, we turn visual protection into full fall protection at a fraction of the cost!

Converting a simple visual cue into a physical barrier strengthens the safety of both workers and visitors. This adaptation enhances the effectiveness of safety measures by creating a tangible boundary between safe areas and potentially hazardous zones, leading to a safer and more reliable working environment.

VSS SAFETYLINE – For compliance with Quebec’s RSST

In this configuration, the VSS SafetyLine features one base per vertical post. Posts at the corners and ends of the bump line require two bases. The maximum distance between two posts in the bump line is 8 feet, and two yellow nylon flags are provided for each 8-foot section of cable. This setup complies with the RSST regulations.

VSS SAFETYLINE – for OSHA

In this configuration, the VSS SafetyLine requires one base per vertical post, with a maximum spacing of 25 feet between two posts. This setup complies with the OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards from the United States Department of Labor.

What are the advantages of VSS Safetyline?

Guaranteed durability

To prevent rust, which is inevitable with steel bases, or the risk of breakage associated with concrete bases, our warning line systems utilize an eco-friendly, patented recycled rubber base. These 50 lb bases are highly resistant to impact and temperature fluctuations, ensuring maximum grip on all types of flat roofs.

A warning line systems with no perforation of the membrane

Maintaining the integrity of the waterproof membrane is crucial for protecting the building’s envelope. This is why the VSS SafetyLine warning line system is freestanding: its base serves as a counterweight, allowing it to meet the standards for permanent warning lines.
