The ICAM Compatta Mobile Racking

Compatta is a semi-automatic mobile system with racking mounted on mobile bases that use a motorized mechanism to slide along guide rails embedded in the floor. When the mobile bases move, they open the aisles to allow access to stored materials. The operator can open or close an aisle by pressing a button on the mobile base or using a remote control.

Key features :
  • Touch control screen
  • Modular structure and versatile options
  • Multi-storage system management
  • Fast response time and optimized processing paths

Ideal for :

  • Pallet racking for medium or low turnover products
  • Intermediate or shipping warehouse
  • Storage of profiles, coils, or long or irregulary shaped items
  • Storage in cold room environments down to -40 degrees

What are the Components of the Compatta Mobile Racking System?

The COMPATTA Cargo mobile system consists of four main elements: the rails, the mobile bases, the shelving, and the electrical system. The mobile bases, rails, and electrical components are the technological core of this system and can be supplied separately from the shelving or even adapted to any existing shelving.

The Rails of the Mobile Racking System

Each COMPATTA Cargo mobile racking system requires the installation of at least two guide rails that ensure the alignment of the entire mobile base, as well as the running rails. All rails are designed according to the size and weight of the unit load.

To ensure correct positioning, before carrying out the supporting masonry work, each rail is equipped with levelling devices. These devices consist of plates connected to the rails and support sub-plates fixed to the floor with anchors.

The Mobile Bases of the Compatta Mobile Racking System

The system moves by the sliding of mobile bases, designed according to the dimensions and weight of the load units.

The COMPATTA Cargo mobile bases offer a wide range of configurations, with a choice between four series (LB, ML, MS, MR), allowing lengths of up to 70 metres and a total load capacity of 1,200 tons.

The mobile bases consist of:

  • A supporting frame
  • A motorized system
  • A handling system

The Pallet Racks (if applicable)

Each mobile system is supplied with a single-sided static racking unit and additional double-sided mobile racking units.

The COMPATTA Cargo mobile bases can be equipped with any type of racking for storing any type of material: pallet racking or container racking, cantilever racking for long materials or sheets, racking for small parts or bulk materials, and racking for coils. Stackable containers can be stacked directly on the bases.

The Electrical Components of the Compatta Mobile Racking System

The control and monitoring system of the mobile racking system consist of:

  • A main electrical panel to power the system.
  • Remote-controlled electrical panels, if needed, for handling from the rear of the mobile storage system.
  • A main on/off switch for cold rooms (exclusively for use in cold room environments).
  • A series of safety devices are necessary to ensure the safety of the entire mobile system.
