What is the main purpose of an access ladder guardrail?
Access ladders used to ascend or descend from roofs over 10 feet present inherent risks, as outlined in safety standards. These risks are compounded by the danger of descending backward and the potential loss of orientation when reaching the top. By installing the access ladder fall protection guardrail, you can ensure safety by providing 10 feet (3 meters) of protection on each side of the ladder. This precaution significantly mitigates risks and enhances the safety of both your personnel and your facilities.
